I have been doing a collection of geometric print designs, using simple shapes to achieve repeat patterns, this collection is for a freelance print company, I am pleased with the results and hoping to sell some in the next couple of months.

Portfolio
I got the photos back from my shoot yesterday, so pleased with them :D Today and yesterday I have been working on my portfolio pages for these (shown above). My portfolio is almost complete and ready for Graduate Fashion Week now.
Organised photoshoot
some images I took whilst photoshoot
I had my photo shoot yesterday for the rest of the garments in my collection, I decided to stick with the white background theme in the studio as this would fit in with my David Lam image for my portfolio. The shoot went fantastic, both the model, Kim and photographer Deimante were brilliant and I can’t wait to see the selected photos tomorrow :D
Progress update
I have now finished my final collection, in plenty of time for my photo shoot :) This past week I have been working on my portfolio, adjusting sections to make it look more profession and also have been working on my PDP file ready for hand in on Friday. I am really pleased with how everything is going and my main focus now is completing my portfolio and getting ready for my photo shoot on Tuesday.
Some portfolio pages that i have just completed, these will also be edited and added on to Artsthread at a later date.
Presentations
Had my presentation today, to a small group of second years, discussing my FMP, contacts, plans when i graduate etc. I wasn’t as worried for this as I have been for previous presentations as it was about me and my work, which i found a very easy topic to talk about. I showed and talked about what my work was about and showed my finished dresses, which seemed to get good responses from the group. I am really pleased with how this went today and feel i did talk about most areas which i needed to, the only element i would change if done again is to slow down and take my time a bit more, as i did feel myself rushing at the beginning which made my presentation shorter than planned, but overall I am pleased with how it went and glad that is another thing out the way.
Texprint
I have decided to enter Texprint this year, even if I don’t get through to interview stage I still feel it will be a good experience and something to add on my CV.
